TURBINE-TYPE MOTOR FUEL PUMP WITH AN IMPROVED IMPELLER OF A VEHICLE FOR IMPROVING PUMPING PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY BY REDUCING THE PRESSURE LOSS OF A PUMP

PURPOSE: A turbine-type motor fuel pump with an improved impeller of a vehicle is provided to minimize the loss of pressure caused by collision-flow in a pump case by improving hydro-dynamically fuel suction and discharge cases covering the impeller and forming a fuel passage. CONSTITUTION: In a turbine-type motor fuel pump having a pump unit and a motor unit mounted in a casing, the pump unit is composed of a fuel suction case(21) forming a lower end of the casing and having a fuel suction port(21a); a fuel discharge case contacted with an inside(21d) of the fuel suction case in the casing to form a pumping chamber and formed with a fuel discharge port(22a); and an impeller installed in the pumping chamber. An inlet ring-shaped duct(21c) is connected with the fuel suction port and formed like a semicircular section structure at the inside of the fuel suction case. An outlet ring-shaped duct(22c) is coupled with the fuel discharge port and formed like a semicircular section structure at the inside of the fuel discharge case. The impeller comprises a disc unit(231) having a shaft assembly unit in the center; plural blades extended from the outline of the disc unit to a radial outside; and a ring unit(233) connecting the blades outside the radial direction of the disc unit. The outline of the disc unit is protruded gradually from both upper and lower sides to the center out of the radial direction of the impeller to form a first projection sill(231c). The inner peripheral surface of the ring unit is protruded gradually inward the radial direction of the impeller from both upper and lower sides to the center to form a second projection sill(233c). A space between the blades is formed to prevent two semicircular sections limited by the outline of the disc unit and the inner peripheral surface of the ring unit from being overlapped to each other.
