PURPOSE: An audio file regeneration apparatus and method is provided to reduce an audio file regeneration operating process and to maintain a car drive concentration of a user by using a fingerprint. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a keypad, a secret code recognition module(110), a storage(120), and an audio file regenerator(130). The keypad includes a file selection key, and plural file operating keys. The file selection key enables a user to select one among a list of audio files. The file operating keys enable a user to play or stop the selected audio file. The secret code recognition module(110) receives secret code data. The storage(120) stores plural audio files, matches the secret code with the selected audio file list, and stores the encoded audio files at a database. The audio file regenerator(130) includes an authentication controller for checking an inputted secret code. The audio file regenerator(130) extracts the stored audio files from the database, and regenerates the audio files if the inputted secret code is normally authenticated.
