FIXING DEVICE AND PICTURE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which can prevent sticking of water vapor to a temperature detection section of a temperature sensor even when the temperature sensor is arranged at an outlet side of a recording medium in a holding section and to provide a picture forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. SOLUTION: A shielding member 80 is arranged between the holding section N and the temperature sensor 70. The shielding member 80 has a rectangular planar shape and one end side 80A thereof is arranged along an axial line of a heating roll 62 at a downstream side in a transportation direction of the recording paper S.
