PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive wrinkle smoothing-out mechanism, which mechanically smoothes out wrinkles formed on a sealing part prior to a sealing operation by an end seal apparatus for sealing. SOLUTION: The box motion type end seal apparatus comprises a pair of sealers, and a couple of plate-like sliders, each coupled via two link rods to form a parallelogram link, are arranged symmetrically on the left/right on each sealer and are kept pulling toward mutually approaching direction by a spring. When the sliders are in an approached state, the front end of each slider is projected over the front end surface of each sealer and each two link rods are locked at an inclined position by a stopper so that the link rods separate each slider apart to the left/right in a swinging move. The front end faces of respective sliders are made to face each other, with one end face on top and the other bottom, and to come in contact with and press each other while a cylindrical film is held between each slider, prior to the sealing operation by the front end faces of the paired sealers between which the film is held. As the sealers approach each other, respective sliders separate away from each other to the left/right in swinging move while smoothing out wrinkles formed on the sealing part, and retreat to the side of each sealer.
