<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable piezoelectric component that can prevent aging degradation of the piezoelectric characteristic of the piezoelectric component of a drop discharge head even if the drop discharge head is used for a long time under high temperature and high moisture. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric component is provided at least with a piezoelectric layer, a first electrode layer that is provided on one surface side of the piezoelectric layer and is applied by a high potential, and a second electrode layer that is provided on an opposite side to the first electrode layer and is applied by a low potential. A metallic layer is formed in contact with the surface of a side where the first electrode layer thereof is formed and it is made of metallic material whose standard electrode potential is larger than 0 V, and a metal oxide layer made of metal oxide is formed in contact with the surface of a side where the second electrode layer thereof is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
