INKJET RECORDING PAPER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording paper structured of a porous layer which is formed of a hydrophilic binder and alumina or alumina hydrate as constituent components on a support; has successful surface smoothness and beautiful surface look even in case the layer is applied rapidly and in thick coating film; and is almost free from the generation of cracks during manufacturing, and also structured of an ink receiving layer which is successfully pliable and ink-absorptive; highly resistant to bend-breakge; and ensures the availability of high print density and successful resistance to image bleeding, and a method for manufacturing the inkjet recording paper.

SOLUTION: The inkjet recording paper has the porous layer which contains alumina or alumina hydrate whose secondary particle has an average particle diameter of 10 to 300 nm and the hydrophilic binder crosslinked by ionizing radiation, formed on the support. Also the method for manufacturing the inkjet recording paper is provided.
