<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clinical chart system for enabling medical staffs to interpret medical information in common, in input support techniques which check terms for use to convert them to standard terms when writing various information occurring in medical examinations at medical sites. <P>SOLUTION: A clinical chart standard term dictionary where standard terms of medical information are recorded is referred to extract non-standard terms from medical information inputted with characters. Extracted non-standard terms are not only made perceptible to operators by marked display, coloring, inverted display, voice messages, alarms, or the like but also converted to standard terms on the basis of the clinical chart standard term dictionary to display conversion results.
