PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforced construction of a columnar structure and a reinforcing plate material capable of having difficulty with occurrence of variations in quality and specially in strength by an operator's technique and weather and carrying out construction work by human power even in a narrow space. SOLUTION: The reinforced construction of the columnar structure comprises a tie plate 11 placed in a circular-shape along the outer circumference of the columnar structure 1 providing engaging joints 20 connected to both end sections each other and an intervening object 12 constraining the columnar structure 1 provided between the tie plate 11 and the columnar structure 1. The tie plate 11 holding the intervening object 12 between the columnar structure 1 and the tie plate is placed along the outer circumference of the columnar structure 1, and the engaging joints 20 of the both ends are connected in a state to apply tensile force to the tile plate 11 to make it possible to cope with radial swelling force by axial compressive force received by the columnar structure 1.
