摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further decrease HC emission quantity by reducing fuel pressure used for determination if compression stroke injection is possible or not to be smaller than in conventional devices for enabling compression stroke injection early. SOLUTION: This fuel injection control device for a cylinder direct injection type spark ignition engine is provided with a means 21 to determine starting fuel supply quantity from a fuel injection valve 8 in such a way as to achieve an air-fuel ratio close to a theoretical air-fuel ratio in cold engine start, means 23 and 24 to detect engine rotation speed at the time of starting, and a means 22 to detect fuel pressure acting on the fuel injection valve 8. The device is further provided with a means 21 to determine if conditions to permit the compression stroke injection are satisfied or not based on the set value for fuel supply quantity in starting, the detected value for engine rotation speed, and the detected value for fuel pressure, and a means 21 to conduct the compression stroke injection when the conditions to permit the compression stroke injection are satisfied based on result of determination.
