PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod fastener which securely fastens a rod not formed with an engaging part or a fitting part for engaging or fitting a screwing tool, without damaging the rod, and screws the rod without troubles. SOLUTION: A rod fastener 4 comprises a wrench part 5 formed on the side of one end of a cylindrical hole 5a into which the rod 1 is inserted, a rotation part pivoted on a bearing hole formed on the side of the other end thereof and equipped with a square hole 6a with which a square-shaped wrench 2 is engaged, and an eccentric cam 7. When the rod 1 is inserted into the cylindrical hole 5a, and the square-shaped wrench 2 is engaged with the angular hole 6a to rotate the rotation part 6 in a direction of c or d, the cam 7 is rotated along with the rotation part 6 for the wrench part 5 to fasten the rod 1 to the cylindrical hole 5a.
