PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization apparatus by which the generation of a toxic substance such as dioxins can be restrained and domestic waste can be recycled, namely, used for a building material or the like by carbonizing and solidifying the domestic waste by simple constitution. SOLUTION: This carbonization apparatus is provided with a cylindrical waste receiving/housing structure which has a conical shape at both ends and is used for receiving/housing the treated waste obtained by collecting, sorting and crushing waste, a screw conveyer arranged in the major axis direction of the waste receiving/housing structure, a high-temperature high-pressure boiler arranged at one end of the waste receiving/housing structure for making a high-temperature high-pressure fluid flow in the waste receiving/housing structure and a discharge electrode plate arranged in the upper part of the screw conveyer.
