PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display stand base for displaying a personal ornament such as a pendant that swings by nature. SOLUTION: The display stand base comprises a mounting table for placing thereon to exhibit the personal ornament. The mounting table has a supporting shaft, a contact pin, a retaining piece and a spring, which are fixed onto the rear surface of the display stand in a housing. The housing accommodates a supporting column bridged therein having a shaft hole to fix the mounting table; a swinging device composed of a driving motor having a working segment formed on the side surface of its driving shaft, and a stopper for locking the rotation of the mounting table. When the driving shaft is rotated, the working segment is brought into contact with a contact segment to rotate the mounting table, while, when the working segment gets off the contact segment, the spring returns the mounting table to its original position.
