<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of detecting falling of capacitance in the stage where falling in capacitance of an AC filter capacitor is less. <P>SOLUTION: AC reactors 3A and 3B are connected to the AC sides of converters 2A and 2B, respectively, and AC filter capacitors 4A and 4B as well as primary coils 6A and 6B of a transformer 5 are connected to the outputs. An AC load 8 is connected to its secondary coil 6C through a contactor 7. The power converter comprises a current transformer 9A in which the U-phase wiring of the AC capacitor 4A is penetrated by two turns while the U-phase wiring of the AC capacitor 4B is penetrated by one turn in the direction opposite to the wiring of the AC capacitor 4A, and a current transformer 9B in which W-phase wiring of the AC capacitor 4A is penetrated by two turns while the W-phase wiring of the AC capacitor 4B is penetrated by one turn in the direction opposite to the wiring of the AC capacitor 4A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
