摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle obstacle detector capable of improving safety by effectively using information detected by a plurality of sensors and properly dealing with obstacle existing within a dead angle. <P>SOLUTION: The on-vehicle obstacle detector observes the behavior of an obstacle existing within the sensing range of one of a plurality of sensors 21 and 22 whose sensing ranges are not overlapped with each other, and predicts the behavior of any obstacle existing within a dead angle being an area between the sensing range of one sensor and the sensing range of the other sensor. Thus, the on-vehicle obstacle detecting device is able to predict the existence of the obstacle existing within the dead angle which is not originally detected by the sensors 21 and 22.
