PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foil-sealed lamp having a sealing part where the property of airtightness is high by enhancing the joining strength of the quartz glass and the foil constituting the sealing part in the foil sealed lamp airtightly sealing the sealing part with a molybdenum foil or a molybdenum foil doped with yttrium oxide and cerium oxide. SOLUTION: The foil-sealed lamp comprises a lamp container having the sealing part in which the molybdenum foil is buried and made of a translucent material, a light emitting mechanism part connected to one end of the molybdenum foil, and a lead rod connected to the other end of the molybdenum foil and extending outward, and a molybdenum silicite film having a thickness of 10-1000 nm is formed on the surface of the molybdenum foil.
