PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink tank which does not need a netty foam element controlling capillary force or other filling materials, and an adjustment method for back-pressure in the ink tank. SOLUTION: The tank is composed of a main body 105 and a trap 110. The main body 105 holds ink 150, and the trap 110 is held in the main body 105 and encapsulates fluid 130. The trap 110 is composed of a low point 125, a 1st leg 115 which extends from one side of the low point 125, and a 2nd leg 120 which extends from the other side of the low point 125.
