PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer which is used in such a way that the spacer is interposed between sheet-like materials when the sheet-like materials, e.g. glass sheets are stored, moved, or the like in such a state that the glass sheets are arranged parallelly in such a manner that the surfaces of the glass sheets are mutually superimposed, by which the stacked sheet-like material are almost prevented from coming out of alignment, and which hardly stains the surfaces of the sheet-like materials. SOLUTION: In the first enbodiment of this invention, a spacer containing a polyolefin-based resin powder is used as the spacer being interposed between the sheet-like materials arranged parallelly in a state where the surfaces are superposed. In the second enbodiment of this invention, a spacer containing a resin powder which comprises a resin having a density of <1,000 kg/m<SP>3</SP>and a type-D durometer hardness (HDD), measured based on JIS K7215-1986, of 30-75, and which has the ratio (D<SB>max</SB>/D<SB>min</SB>) of the maximum particle diameter (D<SB>max</SB>) to the minimum diameter (D<SB>min</SB>) of ≤3.5 and an average diameter of 50-300 μm is used.
