PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is advantageous to enhance durability of batteries while attaining miniaturization of the device . SOLUTION: A circuit section 16 is arranged along the top edge of a back surface 1204 of a case 12 of a display device 10 and batteries 18 are stored along the bottom edge of the case 12. A stand 20 and a storage recessed section 22 are provided between the circuit section 16 and the batteries 18. The stand 20 has two longitudinal pieces 2002 and one lateral piece 2004 which is extended to the left and the right directions to link the bottom tips of the longitudinal pieces 2002. Each of the longitudinal pieces 2002 comprises a top leg 200A and a bottom leg 2002B which is stored in the top leg 2002A in a freely retractable manner, so that the pieces 2002 can be extended and retracted along the up and down directions.
