PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a machine tool which illuminates a machining part of the machine tool so as not to cast a shadow. SOLUTION: The lighting system 1 for the machine tool has a bowl-shaped illumination cover 2 and an annular illumination lamp 3. The lighting system 1 for the machine tool is mounted to the machine tool 9 in a state of surrounding a spindle 92 by a magnet 6 mounted to an upper end opening part 21 of the illumination cover 2. When the lighting system 1 is lighted, a cutter 10 mounted to the lower end of the spindle 92 of the machine tool 9 through a chuck 93, and a workpiece 11 fixed onto a table 94 of the machine tool 9 by a clamp 95, are illuminated from the whole periphery. Thereby, any shadows are hardly caused by lighting in the machining part of the machine tool to enhance the visibility of the machining part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
