<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large capacity optical recording medium laminated with a plurality of recording layers having a capacity of about 20 GB. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium in which recording, reproducing and erasing of multiple layers of information recording surfaces for a plurality of laser wavelengths are made possible is provided with two or more layers of organic layers 3 which are composed of an organic material as a principal component and participate directly in recording. The organic layers have absorbance of ≥0.01 to ≤0.5 with respect to the laser wavelengths used for recording, reproducing and erasing. The wavelength range of the maximum wavelength and minimum wavelength of the plurality of the laser wavelengths is preferably within 200 nm.
