<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aberration generating device (optical system aberration offsetting device) which generates an aberration portion to offset an aberration and is able to perform recording and reproduction always in an ideal state without being influenced by quality of a disk, and to provide an optical pickup building in the aberration generating device. <P>SOLUTION: The aberration generating device is constituted of a 1st transparent wedge-shaped component movable in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, and 2nd and 3rd transparent wedge-shaped components which are arranged on both sides of the 1st wedge-shaped component and are movable along the optical axis. The optical pickup is constituted of a light source for generating light to emit it to a disk, an aberration generating device arranged between the light source and the disk, a signal detection means for detecting a data in the disk as a signal from the reflected light emitted from the disk, a tilt sensor for detecting a tilt of the disk, an arithmetic unit to which the signal detected by the signal detection means and the tilt signal detected by the tilt sensor are inputted, and a drive unit for the aberration generating device which compensates for the aberration by shifting the wedge-shaped components of the aberration generating device so as to offset the aberration caused by the disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
