<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the adjustment of an optical member to improve the picture quality of a projected image. <P>SOLUTION: In the 1st housing 8a of a reflection type projector 5, optical members such as a reflection type light valve, a polarizing plate, and a 1/4-wavelength plate are provided. A circuit board 10 which drives the reflection type light valve is provided above the 1st housing 8a, and the reflection type light valve and circuit board are electrically connected to each other by a flexible electrode. On the lower surface of the 1st housing 8a, an adjusting member 13 which rotates and adjusts the reflection type light valve, polarizing plate, 1/4-wavelength plate, etc., on their optical axes of incidence is provided in a projecting state.
