PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems including heavy loss and PDL, very wide dispersion in every product, high production cost and the fact that mass production is hardly made possible for an optical wavelength selecting circuit which employs a waveguide and is made by inserting a wavelength selecting muti-layer film filter between two opposing light guiding body openings. SOLUTION: An axial shift, which is mutually compatible with a filter that is to be inserted, is formed between two opposing light guiding body openings. Moreover, at the light guiding body opening of the side where reflected light beams are used, a virtual reflection position of the filter is set, optical axes of the light guiding bodies of the light emitting and incident sides are aligned and controls are made by controlling wavelength depending coefficients A(λ) and G(λ) so as to properly select the filter and the light guiding bodies.
