PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve on degradation of picture quality due to reflected light of a plane part 9a at the outer periphery of a lens 9. SOLUTION: In the liquid-cooled cathode-ray tube device equipped with a housing 10 for fixing a cathode-ray tube 1 and the lens 9 between a face panel 8 of the cathode-ray tube 1 and the lens 9 of an expanded projection system, and with cooling liquid 11 sealed in the housing 10, an incident side face 9b or both incident and irradiating faces 9b, 9c of the plane part 9a at the outer periphery of the lens 9 fixed to the housing 10 is given a satin finish and is also colored in black.
