PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten writing time by simultaneously recording many signals by a magnetic head having many recording parts in the case of recording reference magnetic signals in a magnetic disk. SOLUTION: A writing yoke 1 and a back yoke 2 which are formed by thin films of a ferromagnetic material are formed on the sidewall of a slider 3 formed by hard ceramics. After forming respective yokes 1, 2 on the slider 3, grooves 4a-4c are formed by focused ion beam processing from the surface of the slider 3. Consequently all materials of the slider 3, the back yoke 2 and the writing yoke 1 are locally removed, magnetic writing is interrupted by these grooves 4a-4b and magnetic recording is performed only by four recording parts 5a-5d of the writing yoke 1. A plurality of reference magnetic signals can be simultaneously formed on the magnetic disk by the magnetic head. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
