PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive server load distribution device and method and a client/server system, capable of accurately determining or anticipating the actual loaded condition of a server and providing services of stable quality to users. SOLUTION: The server load distribution device 30 is provided having a function 31 by which performance information acquired from the server 20 providing application services is compared with a threshold about an application AP currently operated by the server 20, among the preset load determination thresholds of the server 20, to specify the application AP1 being operated by the server 20A related to the performance information exceeding the threshold, among a plurality of servers 20A-20D. The server load distribution device has a function 33 by which the application operated by the sever 20C operating an application AP2 other than the specified application AP1 is switched to the specific application AP1.
