PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel meter controller for vehicle capable of restraining a driver from receiving strange feeling by display variation in a display means when a road face is inclined. SOLUTION: This fuel meter controller for vehicle provided with a residual fuel amount detecting means 6 for detecting a fuel residual amount in a fuel tank 5, a residual fuel amount display means 7 for displaying the fuel residual amount, based on a detection signal from the residual fuel amount detecting means 6, and a display speed changing means 30 capable of changing a display speed of the fuel residual amount displayed by the residual fuel amount display means 7, is provided with a fuel consumption detecting means for detecting a parameter related to a fuel consumption consumed in an engine mounted on the vehicle. The display speed changing means 30 makes the display speed slow when the fuel consumption is low, compared when the fuel consumption is high, based on a detection signal from the fuel consumption detecting means. The fuel meter is thereby restrained from being fluctuated by disturbance to the vehicle when the fuel consumption is low, while suppressing a lag in following of the fuel meter when the fuel consumption is high.
