摘要

The invention aims at providing a resin composition containing ultrafine particles which is obtained by dispersing ultrafine metal or semiconductor particles surface-modified with a polymer in a resin uniformly and exhibits excellent characteristics which conventional materials do not exhibit. The aim is attained by a resin composition containing ultrafine particles dispersed therein uniformly which is produced by treating a product of radical polymerization of an unsaturated monomer with a treatment in the presence of a specific thiocarbonylthio compound to form a polymer having a mercapto group at one end, surface-modifying ultrafine particles with the polymer, and then mixing the polymer-modified ultrafine particles with a resin.
