<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket gate device capable of precisely performing passage management for surely preventing illegal passage by a person having no ticket. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic ticket gate device is provided with position sensors 1-16 arranged in line in the passage direction and adult/child sensors 21 and 22 arranged in the vicinities of an entrance. The position sensors 1-16 are arranged at the height allowing detection of the youngest passenger needing a child ticket, and an interval between the adjacent sensors is set so that the adjacent sensors can detect the same person at the same time. The adult/child sensors 21 and 22 distinguish an adult and a child from each other in detection according to the height of the passenger. The position of the passenger is tracked by the position sensors 1-16, and on the basis of the detection result of the adult/child sensors 21 and 22, the passenger is managed as an adult/child. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
