PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool of an optical fiber with a UV coating to safely and surely conduct optical fiber wiring in a house by a user so as to be ready for a coming optical communication era when the optical fiber is used upto a terminal. SOLUTION: An optical fiber 101 is comprised of the UV coating, a primary coating, a clad, and a core. The cutting tool is provided with a cutter 13 which is used to cut the UV coating, the primary coating, and the clad of the optical fiber 101 at an arbitrary position in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber 101 from the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and a pressure absorbing plate 24 on which a portion of the optical fiber 101 including the cut is bent and the optical fiber 101 is cut off by pulling force of the bending.
