PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means by which a product having clearer uneven appearance and more excellent design than those of conventional products can be obtained, when an uneven pattern is imparted to a polyester-based fiber material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the polyester-based fiber material having the uneven pattern is characterized by using a mixture of an alkali metal salt, a sizing agent, a clay mineral, and a chelate effect-having compound.
