PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical magnetoresistance effect element which has a suitable resistance value, is capable of obtaining high sensitivity, and has few magnetic layers to be controlled, and further, to provide a magnetic head, and a magnetic recording/reproducing device which use the element. SOLUTION: In the magnetoresistance effect element through which sense current flows in a direction perpendicular to film surface, if pin or free layer is laminated by two or more kinds of ferromagnetic layers, the practical magnetoresistance effect element having the suitable resistance value is capable of obtaining the high sensitivity, and having few the magnetic layers to be controlled can be provided while it effectively utilizes spin parasitic scattering effect.
