PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) device which effectively prevents a contact resistance from increasing. SOLUTION: A PTC device 10 has (1) a PTC element 12, (2) a metal foil 14 disposed on a main face on both sides of a PTC element, and (3) a conductive metal sheet element 16 disposed on at least one of foil electrodes, to form at least one, preferably both of exposed faces of the PTC device.
