PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a coated optical fiber ribbon by which a coated optical fiber ribbon can be manufactured simply by performing collective coating with only one-dimensional alignment, and optical fiber ribbons with various structures can be stably manufactured even when the number of fibers is increased. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a coated optical fiber ribbon by collectively coating a plurality of coated optical fibers together, the method includes processes of: aligning and mounting a plurality of coated optical fibers on a two-dimensional plane, applying a coating material on the two-dimensional plane to cover the two-dimensional plane including the plurality of coated optical fibers with the coating material; and peeling the coated plurality of optical fibers from the two-dimensional plane to separate the coating material on the optical fibers from the coating material on the two-dimensional plane.
