A corded belt-like member (2) where at least one cord (1) is embedded is cut into corded belt-like member pieces (3) having a predetermined length (L). The corded belt-like member pieces (3) are then sequentially joined while edge portions in the length direction of the member pieces (3) are overlapped on each other, and as a result, a tire structure member having a predetermined length in the direction orthogonal to the length direction is formed. Conventionally, when kind etc. of the cord (1) is changed, an extruder die (14) and a width guide (18) that determine the width (B) of the corded belt-like member pieces (3) are adjusted on a case-by-case basis. However, the method of the invention enables the belt-like member (2) with the planned predetermined width (B), as the corded belt-like member (2), to be always obtained with the use of the die (14) with the same opening width. This simplifies a forming procedure of the tire structure member. |
