A management section provided on each of the targets independently judges target search information broadcast from the initiator to the network and when it is matched with the data storage of the local target, data storage response information is broadcast to the network. By the selection notification information transmitted from the initiator in response to the response information, data write or read out or erase to/from the local target is executed according to the processing request of the search information.</p>
