NOVEL PROTEIN AND DNA CODING FOR THE SAME

The base sequences of cDNA clone contained in full-length cDNA library are analyzed, and with respect to cDNA whose sequence in the full length including splicing variant is novel, the physiological activity of protein coded for thereby is identified. There is proposed a method of utilizing proteins and DNAs coding for the same on the basis of the physiological activity of the proteins. There is provided any of the following proteins: (a) protein composed of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 6 or 7, (b) protein composed of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 6 or 7 having undergone deletion, substitution and/or addition of one or two or more amino acids, which protein exhibits kinase activity and/or apoptosis accelerating activity, and (c) protein composed of an amino acid sequence being part of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 6 or 7, which protein exhibits kinase activity and/or apoptosis accelerating activity.
