<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring a logical storage device into a state inaccessible from a computer without changing an allocation control table for controlling the logical storage device allocated to each computer, in a storage device having a plurality of logical storage devices and connected to a plurality of computers. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer 200 issues an accessibility state change request including an identifier of the logical storage device 110 to the storage device 100 when the storage device 110 is brought into the inaccessible state. An accessibility state control means 140 changes accessibility state information corresponding to the storage device 110 registered in an accessibility state control table 130 into an inaccessible state according to the request.
