<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup function inclusion type display device which is suitably used for a two-way video communication system, such as a video phone or video conference. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging functional possession type display device has a plurality of pixel regions 11, 12 and 13 arrayed in a matrix form and each of the plurality of the pixel regions 11, 12 and 13 has a display section 10a which performs display and at least one image pickup section 10b which performs image pickup.
