<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card printer for automatically breaking and ejecting a defective ID card in a system for creating an ID card by using an IC card. <P>SOLUTION: This card printer is configured to form an image on the surface of an IC card with a built in IC chip, and to record data corresponding to the image on the IC chip. This card printer is provided with a reading/writing means for exchanging information with the IC chip, a breaking means for breaking a card and a control means for controlling the breaking means to break the IC card whose data reading has not been possible by the reading/writing means or the IC card whose read information has not been perfect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
