<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate desired performance data by converting changes of specific positions on an image into performance data. <P>SOLUTION: The performance data generating device 2 takes in image data including at least the region of light emitting bodies of a keyboard musical instrument 7, that is constituted so that the light emitting bodies each of which corresponds to a prescribed pitch are successively light emitted based on performance data, by using an image pickup unit 3 and stores the correspondence between each light emitting body and a pitch into a memory.
