<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new titanium alloy having a low melting point while keeping high performances equal to those of conventional titanium alloys with respect to corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The titanium alloy contains Nb, Zr, at least one element selected from the group consisting of Cr, Fe and Si, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. Further, the titanium alloy contains, by mass, 25 to 35% Nb, 5 to 20% Zr, ≥0.5% of at least one element selected from the group consisting of Cr, Fe and Si, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
