<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an image irregularity in a superposed image at a time when a writing start (a top) line of the image in each color is formed with different beams in order to suppress a shift in the superposed image. <P>SOLUTION: A position where an image of a first color is formed with a beam A as a top beam is represented by (a). When a start position for forming an image of a second color is represented by (b), a shift of one dot (line) is generated in the superposed image. In order to suppress the shift in the superposed image, the forming of the image is performed by selecting a beam B as a beam to be the top of the image (c). In the case where the forming of the image is performed by changing the top beam of the image in each color in order to suppress an out of color registration, a correction in gradation is applied to each of the beams of the succeeding image in order to suppress an image irregularity due to difference in the shapes and exposing powers of the beams. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
