PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a state in which provision of information by voice output is difficult to hear for the occupants of a vehicle due to a traveling condition of the vehicle, by automatically regulating sound volume, sound quality or the like of the voice output transmitting information in response to the traveling condition of the vehicle. SOLUTION: The information output unit comprises a current position detection part 13 for transmitting current position data expressed by a current position of the vehicle, a regulation data memory part 43 for performing storage and reading of regulation data expressing specific relation of a place set previously from among places displayed in map data obtained from a map data memory part 16 and the voice output obtained from a voice generating part 24, and an operation control part 30. The operation control part 30 performs regulation, in response to the regulation data in a voice signal to a voice signal regulation part 35, when the current position of the vehicle expressed by the current position data reaches the previously set place related to the regulation data from among the places expressed by the map data, and satisfies the specific relation with the place the voice output previously set.
