PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a heat sink which has excellent productivity, a small size and excellent heat sink properties. SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the heat sink includes a plurality of wire series 31L for processing slits having a first roller 11, a second roller 15 and third roller 21, and fourth roller 25 disposed in parallel with each other so that a wire 31 is wrapped on the first roller 11 and the second roller 15, and wire parts 31-1, 31-n+1,... for cutting, formed between the third roller 21 and the fourth roller 25, which are alternately disposed. The method for manufacturing the heat sink includes pressing of raw materials 60 to the wire series 31L for processing the slits and the wire parts 31-1, 31-n+1, 31-2n+1,... which reciprocate and move straight by normal and reverse rotations of the first roller 11 and the second roller 15 to process the slits 53 in the presence of abrasive grains, cutting of the raw materials 60, and manufacturing of a plurality of the heat sinks 50 simultaneously.
