PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional structural motif and three-dimensional coordinates of syr6 which is a peptide mimicking interferon and to provide a method for identifying, searching for, evaluating or designing a mutant of the syr6 having a biological activity equal to or better than that of the syr6, an agonist of an interferon receptor and an antagonist of the interferon on the basis of all or a part of the three-dimensional structural coordinates or by using a computer recording medium storing all or the part of the three-dimensional structural coordinates. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional structural motif which is the three-dimensional structural motif of the peptide having an amino acid sequence represented by sequence number 1 produces an interferon activity. The three-dimensional structural coordinates of the peptide having the amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 1 and the interferon activity are provided. The method for identifying, searching for, evaluating and designing the mutant of the syr6, the agonist and antagonist of the interferon receptor comprises using the three-dimensional structural coordinates.
