PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transfer control system for enabling a mail receiver side to select reception conditions and to reject the reception of any unnecessary transfer mail or attached file. SOLUTION: This mail transfer control system comprises an IC card, a communication terminal equipped with an IC card reader/writer, and a mail server communicatively connected through a network to the communication terminal. The IC card includes a storing means having the mail transfer condition program stored thereon. The IC card reader/writer includes a means for reading the transfer condition program stored in the IC card and a means for transmitting the read transfer condition program to the communication terminal. The communication terminal includes a means for transmitting the transfer condition program through the network to the mail server. The mail server includes a means for registering the transfer condition program received from the communication terminal in the storing means and a means for controlling the mail transfer processing on the basis of the transfer condition program stored in the storing means.
