PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent electrostatic offset without requiring high positional accuracy for attaching a discharging means to discharge surface charges of a pressurizing roller. SOLUTION: A fixing roller 61 with a built-in heat generating body H is brought into contact with a pressurizing roller 62 under pressure, while a discharge sheet 63 to discharge the surface charges on the pressurizing roller 62 is disposed at a place separated by a distance d from the surface of the pressurizing roller 62 and along the axial direction of the pressurizing roller 62. A nonwoven fabric coated with a conductive polymer is preferably used as the discharge sheet from the viewpoint of discharge efficiency and attaching performance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
