PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiator for cell sorter for irradiating a specimen with a plurality of lights having specific wavelengths at the same time from one light source. SOLUTION: This light irradiator 1 for cell sorter is used in a cell sorter for irradiating the specimen in a sample liquid with light and detecting the intensity of the scattered light or fluorescence or the like emitted from the specimen to perform analysis and constituted so that lights having a plurality of peak wavelengths are taken out of the lights emitted from one light source 10 having a plurality of wavelengths and separated while the lights having the respective wavelengths are again synthesized to be condensed to the passing position of the sample liquid and the specimen is irradiated with the lights having a plurality of wavelengths at the same time.
