The rear wheel suspension of a three or four wheeled vehicle has each rear wheel (12,13) pivotably mounted on the frame of the vehicle by longitudinal links (2,3). The rear wheels are interconnected by tension struts (4,5) and a two-arm support (10) acting as a lever. Each tension strut is coupled to the support via a respective two-part shock-absorbing lever (6,7). One arm of each shock-absorbing lever is connected to the tension strut, and the other arm connected to the support via a shock absorber (8,9), with each lever itself pivotably mounted on the support.
